A note on how I practice as a complementary therapist
I am a complementary practitioner, which means I work within safe guidelines and will refer you back to your primary care GP or other healthcare practitioner if something is outside my scope of practice. Naturopaths do not diagnose or treat specific diseases, rather we work with the whole person, so will support the health of your digestive system, hormones, immune system, nervous system and physical and mental/emotional bodies among other things to support you towards better health and vitality. Any concerning symptoms that worry you please make an appointment with your GP or call 111 for advice and further investigation before booking an appointment.
Lucy can help you manage your symptoms and hopefully reduce their severity, but will be honest and open with you about what you might be able to achieve (please be aware when trawling through websites for help, if it sounds too good to be true, it quite often is!) The way I work with long term conditions is with empathy, compassion, scientific research and a healthy dose of common sense too. If you have a specific condition you would like to try and improve using diet and naturopathic therapies you could email or call Lucy and see if Naturopathy could help you. I will be honest about what you might be able to achieve and may even refer you on to another therapist if I feel it is appropriate.
“I felt I had to take time to comment on Lucy’s work I saw for the first time yesterday.
I am amazed how professional it all is, still reeling! The amount of time she has spent on research, productivity areas and presentation is beyond my expectations. She has worked to give us a brand new program to grow on and from at the Sanctuary.
I am more then 100 % pleased with what she has done.”
– Gill Beddows, owner of The Sanctuary Resort, Thailand, Dec 2016
“I visited Lucy for the first time at the beginning of February as I had put on a considerable amount of weight and I was feeling generally unwell and unhealthy.
After a thorough consultation Lucy advised a change of Diet, daily dry body brushing and regular brisk walks. The new regime and diet was easy to follow and now nearly six months later I have lost two and a half stone, feel well, have more energy and people comment on how amazing I look.
Lucy is very passionate about the well being of her clients and without her guidance I would not have achieved this transformation.” – Client wanting to improve their well-being, Feb 2016
“I heard of Lucy Peel through a friend and as there was an offer of a free initial consultation I went along. Having long standing problems with insomnia, irritable bowel, arthritis and generally getting passed my sell by date,I approached Naturopathy with a good deal of scepticism. I was met by a joyous young woman who, over a period of several months, carefully explained what was her approach and gave me each month a list of changes to my diet and lifestyle. Unbelievably, to me anyway, I now regularly sleep as a normal person does, have eradicated chronic bowel problems and feel so much better in so many ways that are too long to list. If you are thinking of who to choose or naturopathy in general, I couldn’t recommend Lucy more. It probably sounds a bit gushing but she really has changed my life in terms of health and well being.” – Client with chronic sleep and digestive issues, Dec 2015
“I just wanted to email to say a huge thank you for changing my life around with our sessions! My dermatitis has completely gone and I am eating healthily with reduced sugar intake! I wanted to let you know that I appreciate your help. I have to say I didn’t have much faith in nutritionists before…but now I do, so will be spreading the word!”
– Email from a client who was suffering from skin problems on her face, Jan 2014
“I started seeing Lucy at the end of last year to help with a number of things, namely digestive issues. Lucy has been brilliant at guiding me though how best to help this and really listened to how I feel about my diet and the things that make my body tick. She is great at tailoring things to the individual and has a number of different treatments up her sleeve.”

“The breathing exercises you gave me are really helping. I’m actually conscious of my breathing throughout the day. I just wanted to say thank you so much for all your help so far – and we’ve only had one session! The last couple of weeks have been a bit of a rollercoaster for me, emotionally, but I now feel really positive and excited about my future.”
– Email from a client who suffers from anxiety and panic attacks, October 2011
“Thank you for our session on Tuesday. I felt so much better when I left than when I arrived and that relaxed feeling stayed with me well into the next day!”
– Email from a client after a massage session, May 2011
“Thank you for seeing me yesterday. Don’t know if it’s the [Bach] flowers, the breathing, the supplements or the sunshine but no panic/sickness first thing and I feel half human today for the first time in weeks…long may it last!”
